Saturday, May 21 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Building on the success of its autumn event, Art on Harrison, the Oak Park Arts District launched “What’s Blooming on Harrison” in 1999. Over the years, this family-oriented May event has highlighted the District through artist demonstrations, live music, dance performances and an art fair featuring select guest artists and local crafts people. 2016’s festival will kick off with a Third Friday Gallery Walk on May 20th. On Saturday, May 21st, “What’s Blooming” moves outside taking over Harrison Street, from Highland Avenue to Humphrey, with the art fair and other Family Fun Activities including a children’s carnival, live music, dance, craft demonstrations and hands-on workshops. The street fest runs from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. Stay for an after party at the beer garden after 7pm.
